What do I need to watch a Streaming Rental?
If you buy a Streaming Rental, you can watch the video directly in your web browser via instant streaming. You don’t need any special software or hardware – if you can view the trailer, the film will also play. All Streaming Rentals can also be viewed on an iPad, iPhone or iPod Touch.
What connection speed do I need to watch a Streaming Rental?
While watching Streaming Rentals your computer or tablet must be connected to the internet. We recommend high-speed broadband or a high-speed 3G connection for streaming. The video quality will automatically adjust to match your bandwidth, so to get the maximum resolution video, you should use the fastest connection available to you.
Can I pause my Streaming Rental and come back to watch later?
Yes, if you get interrupted and want to resume later, you can pause and resume the film up to 4 times after you start watching, as long as you finish within 30 days. When you pay you will be sent a password to log in and resume viewing later. Each time you start watching the film you have 3 hours, so if you pause and leave the browser open, after 3 hours the player will automatically reload so you can access the film again.
Can I resume my Streaming Rental from a different device?
Yes, you can log in to any other device to resume within your rental period.
When will my Streaming Rental expire?
Your rental will expire after 30 days, after you’ve resumed viewing the fifth time, or once you have finished watching the film, whichever happens first.
What if I have some other technical problem? How do I contact you for help?
If you have any problems viewing the film, please email hello@distrify.com quoting the order number from the email receipt you received. If for any reason you are unable to access the film, we will first attempt to solve your problem, however, if you still cannot access the film for any reason, we will cancel the order and give you a full refund.
If you can’t remember your password. How do I log in?
Whenever you make a purchase or sign up to a film’s mailing list an account is automatically created for you. You should have received an email with your automatically-generated password. If you have lost that email or your password you can reset your password. To reset your password click here.
What does Download-to-Own mean?
If you buy a Download-to-Own video, you will receive a link to download the file to your computer. The video is in MPEG4 format which will play back on most computers, as well as portable devices like iPad and iPhone. If your computer does not have a video player installed (Windows Media Player or QuickTime player are usually installed by default), you can download the free VLC player to play our videos.
What if I lose my connection during Download? Can I try again?
Yes, if your download fails, you can log in with the password we emailed you and try a second time.
Can I give a copy of my Download to a friend?
No, the Download you purchase is only for your personal use. If you want to share the film with a friend, you need to share a link to the film’s website using the Share or Embed tools in the online video-player. Unlawful sharing of the Downloaded file is a violation of Copyright Law, which is a criminal offence!
The download link isn’t working. What can I do?
If you are having trouble downloading with Internet Explorer, please try installing Firefox or Chrome and then navigate back to the download link with one of those browsers. Some users have problems with security settings on Internet Explorer.

How does the affiliate scheme work?
Anyone who is logged in to Distrify is automatically included in the revenue-sharing affiliate scheme. Users who buy the film or subscribe to the mailing list are automatically logged in. This means that if they use the sharing tools in the video player, or copy and paste the embed code or URL, it automatically includes a unique code that tracks their sharing. Any sales generated from their sharing qualify for the affiliate revenue-share programme. The affiliate code is tracked in the user’s session, so even if they go away and then come back to buy the film, the tracking code is still active.
As a partner-reseller you can check how much money you’ve earned and request a withdrawal at any time. While logged into Distrify, simply check your Income Report. If you’ve earned more than $50 or so, then scroll to the bottom of the Income Report and click Request Withdrawal.
1. Embed our movie on your own website
You need to be able to edit the HTML of your website (or have your administrator do this). All you have to do is click the “Embed” icon in your Distrify player and then use the “Copy Code” button. You can click “Customize” to change the player size before copying. Once you’ve copied the code, just paste this code into your website’s HTML editor wherever you want it to appear.
2. Embed our movie on your Facebook page
First click “Follow” in the film’s player so you’re subscribed to the mailing list. Then click Add the Distrify Player to your page right here. Select which page you want to add the tab to and click Add Page Tab. You will be redirected to your Facebook Fan Page and a list of films you own or are following. Choose the film and click “Link (name of the film) to page”. You can then change your page settings so that the Distrify tab is the default landing tab. Click “Edit Info” at the top of your page and click on the “Manage Permissions” section. Then select “Watch Now” from the Default Landing Tab menu.
3. Embed on your WordPress website or blog
There is a simple, easy-to-use WordPress plugin that makes embedding on WordPress blogs as easy as copying and pasting a URL. For instructions, go to the Distrify Embed plugin on WordPress and install the plug-in on your wordpress site.
