The Kodokan represents the vision that the founder, Jigorō Kanō shihan, had for jūdō. This included the building of the Kodokan Judo museum. From the moment I decided to practice martial arts, I wanted to step inside the Kodokan.
Judo… created by Jigoro Kano from an ancient deadly fighting art into ‘the gentle way’. Currently the only Budo that is an Olympic sport.
